Message to members after the AGM: this is not the end of Avondale RSA
To our members, families and the wider Avondale community,
On 19 July, our membership voted in a new executive committee, one that is taking on the challenge of stabilising the financial foundation and working on the way forward.
The previous committee had already sought to stem the bleed by closing the hospitality doors on 31 July.
We want to be clear: this is not the end of Avondale RSA, it is the start of something new.
Whilst our doors are closed, our purpose has never been stronger. The new committee is already working on a plan for the road ahead, and we know the best path forward is one we build together, with our members, our veterans, our local community and our stakeholders all playing a part. We’ll be reaching out in the coming weeks to bring you into that journey.
To everyone who has walked through these doors, shared a meal, told a story or stood together in remembrance, thank you. We look forward to building back a local Returned and Services Association that is thriving, connected and true to its purpose for generations to come.
Lest We Forget.
